Design Effects II
For this project, we were tasked with creating four theatre posters. The first using an layered composite, the second using a vintage textures technique, the third using a Japanese style poster, and lastly, a vintage advert.
Layered Composite
The first poster I created was for the musical Hamilton. I added a vintage effect to each image and then used a clipping mask with the text to create the title. Then I added vintage effects to the background and that was pretty much it.

Vintage Textures
The second poster I created was for Wicked. I first placed all of the images where I wanted them and made them black and white before going in and applying all of the textures. I used a lot of overlay and opacity settings to get the final look.
Japanese Texture
The next poster I created was one using Japanese texture effects. I started out by placing all of the images in the order I wanted them. Then I added a texture image and Japanese text. It's pretty subtle, but I like it. Lastly, I added the title and used a newspaper image with a clipping mask.
Vintage Advert
The last poster I created was for the musical Hadestown. Again, I placed all of the images and then used the vintage texture tutorial to create the final look. I added the title text last and the image was complete.
