Filter Effects
For this project I was tasked with using the filters panel in Photoshop to create four different images. The first one I made using the liquify filter, the second using the distressed halftone effect, the third and fourth using the blur and camera raw effects.
Liquify Effect -

For the first image I used the liquify effect. I moved her hairline down slightly and filled it out a bit. Then I increased the size of her hair bun so that it would fill the top better. I then moved her hands and sweater upwards a bit to compact the image a bit more.

Distressed Halftone Effect -

For the next image I converted it into black and white and then I used the halftone pattern under the filter menu. I used the lined one and increased the size of the filter. Then I added the torn edges effect on top of that to get an even grungier look. Then I used a gradient fill to get the purple and orange hues.
Camera Raw + Blur -

For this image I first used the camera raw effect. I changed the hue and color codes to help the yellow of the bees stand out and pop off the background a little bit better. I also lowered the clarity slightly which helped the image not come across quite as busy looking. Then I added an iris blur to the image to give it some depth and bring even more emphasis to the bees in the middle..

Camera Raw + Blur pt 2 -

For the last image I again started off with the camera raw filter. I lowered the contrast and change the color codes a little bit because I wanted this image to feel more vintage and mysterious. I also lowered the noise and clarity to help this effect. I was able to get the mountains to look more misty by lowering the subtract mist area so that it let more noise and mist through. Then I added a very slight lens blur to help the vintage feel even more.
