Type Essentials

For this project I experimented with all different aspects of typography. I used typography to change the meaning and feel of a word, I illustrated a quote using contrast and sophisticated typefaces, I used glyphs to change up how my name looked, and I made a design with one of my favorite song lyrics.

CHANGE THE MEANING-

FAVORITE QUOTE -

For this part of the assignment, I chose a quote that I love and made an image out of it. I used the font Latin Modern Roman for the main text and Latin Modern Roman 10 Bold Italic for the word "surf". I just changed the font sizes to get all of the other contrasting elements.

UNIQUE NAME -

For this section I used the glyphs panel to make my name unique looking. I used the font Acumin Variable Concept Extra Condensed Light, and I used drop shadow and picture overlay to get some more cool effects.

SONG LYRIC DESIGN -

For this design I used the font Felix Titling on the first six lines, and then Latin Modern Roman 10 Bold Italic for the emphasized section at the bottom. Most of the contrast added came from changing the font size to give it contrast from the line above.
