Vector Effects

For this week's projects, we were tasked with creating two signs that forbid certain objects, and two new logos for recognizable brands using no words, just shapes.

Prohibited Sign 1

For the first prohibited sign I used a camera. I used the pen and shape tools and played around with the colors a bit to get something other than boring black and white.

Prohibited Sign 2

For the second prohibited sign I used a tiger because I wanted a challenge. I used the pen tool to trace all of the outlines and then the leaves as well. Then I colored everything, and was done after creating the circle.

Shape Logo

The first well known brand I decided to create a shape logo for was Coca-Cola. I decided to go with a bottle design with glowing liquid inside. Then after I had the original vector, I added a background and then made a mockup of what it would look like on a bottle. I used curves to color match my best and then used puppet warp to fit it to the bottle.

Shape Logo 2

The second well known brand I made a logo for was Starbucks. I kept their color scheme because it's so iconic. I made a vector mug and then used the pen tool to add on the shadows. Then I made a background off of the original vector image. The I did a t-shirt mockup with the label and I extended all of the triangles so that it felt neat and like a full design.
